'LNJ' - Liquid Nose Job

How was your 4th?! Went on the boat with friends and cooked out. I have taken the rest of the week off and going to work on blog posts, organizing my place and working on paintings for clients. First of many posts that I can't wait to share with you this week...

Talking about 'Liquid Nose jobs'... Have you heard about this?! Non-surgical rhinoplasty is a medical procedure in which injectable fillers, most commonly hyaluronic acid ones like Restylane and Juvederm or calcium hydroxyapatite (Radiesse), are used to alter and shape a person's nose without invasive surgery. Mandy prefers to use Restylane Lyft. The procedure fills in areas on the nose, lifting the angle of the tip or smoothing the appearance of bumps on the bridge. The liquid nose jobs use fillers that can camouflage imperfections such as a dorsal hump and make the dorsum appear straight.

1st step- having a consultation with Mandy from Miramae Skincare. Not everyone is the right candidate for it and Mandy will always be honest with you on what she recommends for you. During the procedure, Mandy will use ice and a topical cream to numb the skin, and small needles are used to inject the filler.

How does it work? Great question.  'LNJ' can even out irregularities along the bridge of the nose, make the nose appear straighter, raise the nasal bridge, or camouflage a dorsal hump.  'LNJ' makes your nose appear smaller and more refined which gives your nose an overall more symmetrical appearance or appear more "balanced" by adding volume with filler. A great way to think of this is a temporary "contoured nose" where you would get the same effect as using makeup highlighter set on your nose. I truly believe skin care is the new makeup & in doing small 'touch up" injections such 'LNJ', botox and/or lip injections by Mandy. You can read more about lip injections here (huge fan).

So why go for the 'LNJ' over getting a nose job? You can skip the pain and recovery of surgery. There is not much downtime which is a positive with our busy schedules these days. You can see the results right after Mandy completes the procedure and the procedure costs $600 which is a fraction of what a nose surgery would cost. The procedure lasts 9 to 12 months with a touch up sometimes needed 2-3 weeks after your first injection.  Also, if you do not like the results for some reason then she can dissolve the filler.
