Howdy! Who is outside enjoying this incredible weather with a Mimosa in hand?! I am at the studio working with one of my interns. I grabbed lunch for us from Fresh Market and we have a picnic spread on the table. Ashley is 26 and is a go getter & I am learning so much from her experience in working in a collaborate space environment and learning how to share files, processes, the digital world, documents, SEO world and images. You will see more of Ashley as well as Emmy who have both been a huge help so I can share more blog posts with you on a weekly basis!
So, I have become quite addicted to The Skinny Confidential's podcast, 'The Skinny Confidential: Him & Her Podcast' is hosted by Lauryn Evarts who is a Lifestyle Blogger and her husband is Michael Bosstick who has his own digital media group. They answer your questions about branding, blogging, entrepreneurship, relationships, travel, marketing and social media! You can subscribe to the podcast here and you can ask the wild two any questions on Twitter or Instagram by using the hashtag #askhimandher! I LOVE THEM! On a recent podcast, Lauryn talks about time blocking and this is something that I have been trying to work on for months. Well, my whole life if I am being honest. She also told her listeners about a time blocking tool, 'The Miracle Cube Timer' which helps with time management & allows you to set the timer for 5, 15, 30 and 60 minute blocks. It is a fun way to establish routines. Your phone has a timer, yes.... but how distracted do you get when someone texts you or you see a sports score pop up from your favorite team? Raising my hand over here! I let my friends know that I am going to be working, put phone on airplane mode and get in the zone! I have included what a typical day week work looks like for me and hope this will give you a good starting point in creating your own time block schedule as well. We can all benefit from some time management and have fun with the process in filling it out. Hope this tools allows you more free time and lets you have a few more hours to yourself...
Take a look at the image that shows my time block for the week and below the image you can click the 'download button' to download a template spreadsheet that I created for you to use for you to time block.
Ok, so now to the Fashion goodies! Who loves a good ruffle top?! I saw the 'Ruffle off the Shoulder' from Nordstrom on one of my bloggers babes blog and had to snag. Unfortunately, they are sold out of the top now but the 'Embroidered off the Shoulder Top' is $59.00 and has the exact same cut. I would recommend going up a size when the shirt has a built in bra if you have larger tata's like me. I wear a 34 D in bras/large in sport bras but small in tops. Another one I adore is the 'Bell Sleeve off the Shoulder' and is only $55.00 and also check out 'We The Free Skyline Thermal' for $68.00 by Free People. Drooling over this shirt-I adore effortless clothes and the Free People top is just that. I am wearing 'High Rise Skinny Jeans' by Madewell that are $135.00 and hands down some of my favorite jeans. I think high waisted jeans are so flattering on girls and can be worn in the summer and also in the fall & winter. I paired the outfit with 'Frenzy Striped Heel' that are $42.00 and by Vici Dolls. The black and ivory stripes are so chic and classic.
Would love to hear from you in the comment box below if you have any questions or would love to hear how you time block your schedule for the week. Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope this post was some good food for thought going into the work week and happy shopping!
